Vision & Learning

Vision is learning. It guides us to gain meaningful visual experiences from our surroundings. It relies on the eyes and the brain to communicate effectively between themselves. Difficulties with reading, attention, and comprehension can often stem from visual processing deficits. A behavioral optometrist has a more holistic view of the patient to analyze and determine the visual needs of the young and not so young learner. This is critical with strengthening focus, tracking, visual memory and the visual process altogether. This examination identifies and treats the underlying causes of why a young child or adult can’t focus, tracking a moving target or build visual memory to improve the learning efficiency, confidence, and overall academic success.
